BRAWO® SYSTEMS has successfully completed the extensive testing program specified by the German Institute for Construction Engineering (DIBt) and has extended and supplemented its approval for the underground area with curing by UV or LED light (Z-42.3-566).
Extension of the scope of approval
The approved diameter range of the BRAWOLINER® 3D has been extended upwards to DN 300. Thus, diameters of DN 100 – DN 300 can be rehabilitated with the BRAWOLINER® 3D, even with changes in dimension in the pipe run. The BRAWOLINER® is the liner system with which the rehabilitation of waste water pipes with two changes in dimension (three different diameters in one pipe run) over the entire diameter range and with all liners described in the approval is possible:
- BRAWOLINER® 3D DN 100-150 - may be installed in diameters from 100 to 150
- BRAWOLINER® 3D DN 150-225 - may be installed in diamters from 150 to 200
- BRAWOLINER® 3D DN 200-300 - may be installed in diameters from 200 to 300
The new BRAWOLINER® 3D DN 200-300 integrated into the approval can, as well as all other types of BRAWOLINER® listed in the approval, can be used for the rehabilitation both with the BRAWO® UVPox51 as well as the BRAWO® LR in accordance with the approval.
The BRAWOLINER® 3D is a seamless textile hose with an equally seamless film coating. Due to a special loop construction, all BRAWOLINER® 3D hoses are extremely flexible, which makes them the ideal rehabilitation solution for defective pipes with dimensional changes and bends up to 90°. Due to the special construction, the BRAWOLINER® 3D adapts optimally and almost crease-free to the pipe run.
Addition to the BRAWO® UVPox 51 resin system
The BRAWO® UVPox51 is an improved version of the BRAWO® UVPox (now UVPox50). In particular, the significantly lower (and thus better) reduction factor results in higher long-term values for E-modulus and flexural stress.
This makes the system more structurally efficient.
In general, BRAWO® UVPox51 continues to fulfil the following material properties:
- Form-fitting contact in the old pipe with no penetration of water behind
- Very good mechanical characteristics
- High installation reliability due to extremely long processing time
- Optical check using coloured resin
- Targeted, fast curing
- Styrene-free and low-odour
- High abrasion resistance
- Lasts for over 50 years
- Curing with our light curing units
(UV and UV/LED light)
Due to this updated approval, rehabilitation with the BRAWOLINER® 3D and light-curing resins is possible even more flexibly in accordance with the approval.
Integration of factory pre-impregnation
Also newly integrated into the approval is rehabilitation with a factory pre-impregnated BRAWOLINER® 3D, such as the pre-impregnated BRAWOLINER® 3D LR.
